Hawaii

Adam and I went to Hawaii in October 2007 for our Honeymoon.

We took a cruise through the Norwegian Cruise Lines, so we could see all the Hawaiian Islands.

We booked ourselves solid everyday with excursions, because we didn’t want to waste the days on the beach when there are so many beautiful things to be seen.

We did volcano tours (The Big Island) and canyon hikes (Kauai).

We went on a Zodiac rubber boat tour, which was terrifying (and a little painful the next day). Then the boat took us to a cove where we went snorkeling. Something neither of us had ever done before.

In Maui, we went to the Macadamia Nut plant, and a beautiful tropical plantation.

In Kauai, we also did an excursion called “Tubing in the Ditch”, which was just that. The “ditch” was an old man-made canal which was used to distribute sugar cane around the island.

Our favorite part of our Honeymoon was on O’ahu where we took a Hummer tour of locations where “Lost” was filmed. Which was pretty exciting for us as we were huge “Lost” fans.

After our 7 nights on the cruise ship, we stayed in Honolulu for another 3 nights.

We went to Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona.

Lucky us, we were there for Halloween, which is a pretty big deal in Honolulu. The only street party bigger than theirs is Key West.

I tell Adam that it was such a busy blur, and that he owes me another trip to Hawaii and maybe this time we’d be a little more laid back.
