Nasty Mac and More Books

A co worker of mine (Hey Janice) mentioned wings today, so that’s what I wanted for dinner.

Well, wings just weren’t going to happen, so I improvised.

I made a Tyson grilled chicken breast and topped it with Franks Hot Sauce. I also had some corn.

I also made myself some Easy Mac.

I bought it because it seemed slightly more “gourmet” seeing that it was White Cheddar.

It was meant to be mine, it had my name on it.

100_5450

My nickname at least.

It was actually pretty gross, I threw most of it away.

I got an email today, informing me that Borders was in it’s last 10 days, and the remaining inventory was 80-90% off.

Even though it was less than a week since our last Borders trip, we thought we’d head over to check out what was left.

At 80% off, I couldn’t resist. I got a bunch of stuff.

Yes, that is a Bella and Edward Bookmark.

Did you forget I’m a Twilight Fanatic?

The grand total for this haul was about $27. Not bad my friends. Maybe you should head over and see what you can find.

I can’t decide which book to read first, but hopefully my next book choice is as good as my last one.

**Seems a little counterproductive to buy all these books, only to fill my head with Jersey Shore tonight, huh?**

Fist Pump BABY!!!

We Were The First Losers

Last night was our last night of Jarts. Our summer season is over.

Special Congrats to Kim and Paul who won this year!

Adam and I came in second place. WAH WAHHHH!

I did have a few of these, to help us get there,

That my friends, is a "Double Ringer"

so all in all, it wasn’t a bad night.

I was up bright and early to go and get my nails did.

And I am LOVING my new gelish polish.

I considered going out for a run this morning, but my right hip has been bothering me lately, and I don’t want to aggravate even more.

Besides, Tara made me an extra special “made with love” hula hoop that I cannot wait to use. And as I’ve mentioned before, hula hooping has some major benefits.

Look at all the colors!!

And I have a bunch of different “at home” exercise options, so I really have no excuse to get something in today.

I’ll be heading over to a lawn fete later this evening. It’s the last one of the summer. :(

We still got Labor Day though, right? The Last Hurrah!

I Prefer to Run Outside

I made my way to the gym after work today, prepared to get on the treadmill and do 3 miles.

I wanted to see how long 3 miles would take me with my current run/walk routine. And it would give me a number that I could try to improve each time.

Weeelll….

I warmed up with 5 minutes on the StairClimber, level 10 fat burner program.

On to the treadmill I go….

ehhh…

I felt tired, and my calves and hip hurt. OUCH. I got through 1.5 miles before throwing in the towel.

And as I was wrapping it up, I was comparing treadmill running to running outside.

Running outside is hilly, and the concrete is much harder than the treadmill, leading to achy joints.

But here’s the thing…

When I’m running outside, I have to keep going if I want to get home. So, however far that takes me, I just gotta do it. :)

I rounded out my lame-o workout with 15 minutes on the elliptical.

I came home to dinner already done. Oh the joys of the crock pot.

I made some shredded buffalo chicken, and a side of canned carrots. Fresh veggies are at a premium in this house.

Just putting this out there…

I’ve mentioned a few times before about my fitness hula hoop. I’ve had it about a year now and I occasionally bust that baby out to help keep my core toned. Hooping can also help aid your digestive system, and can ease menstrual cramping.

Even celebrities are on board to do some hoopin’ and you can read Marisa Tomei’s hooping workout here, from Shape Magazine.

My Hoop

My friend Tara, has often thought about making her own hoop, and all the cool color options we could play around with.

So now….

I wanted to put this out for all my readers. If any one you are interested in having your own hoop, we can make one for you!

The hoops are only $15 each, which is a steal, I paid $40 for mine! EEk!

And if you email me, we can discuss color options available and custom make one just for you.

Another thing to keep in mind, hula hooping can burn 600 to 800 calories an hour!

WOW!

Have a great night!
