My Favorite Things

I thought I’d finally get a little bit of beauty stuff on here. And what a better way, then to share a few of my favorite beauty products.

I like to play around with new colors and techniques, so I change up my makeup routine slightly everyday.

I have a few products that are staples. These products are used everyday, without fault.

Foundation: Bare Escentuals Mineral Foundation and Mineral Veil.

My sister turned me on to this line years ago, and I got hooked. It’s just a great product, light enough for everyday wear, but provides enough coverage to get me through the day.

Blush: I religiously wore Nars Orgasm blush. It’s a sparkly peachy color that’s supposed to mimic its namesake. I recently decided to try a different color by Nars. This one is Deep Throat, I know, still naughty named. It’s similar in color to Orgasm, with a little less sparkle.

Mascara: My favorite mascara is Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes. It’s all natural, free of all those crazy ingredients other mascaras have, but I just like it because it makes my lashes longer. Unfortunately, I go through mascara like water, so the $20 price tag has become a little hefty.

I recently started playing around with different brands to find a replacement. Right now, I’m loving the Maybeline Volum Express Colossal Mascara.

Eyeliner: I’m also a big fan of liquid eyeliner, and I pride myself on my applications. Always smooth and even. I’m actually using the NYC liquid eyeliner, and for $1.69, it gets the job done.

Lips: I never leave home without AT LEAST 2 Buxom lip glosses. I have a slight obsession with these, and have 6 full size and 16* mini glosses, but still, only 1 set of lips.

* I just ordered the above mini set, so make that 20 mini buxoms!

The rest of my make up bag is a hodge podge of free samples, and eyeshadows…..SO. MANY. EYESHADOWS.

Look for the My Favorite Things- Hair Product edition soon!

  1. That blush sounds amazing. I seriously need make-up help!
