The weather was looking a little sketchy this afternoon, a bike ride wasn’t looking too promising. So, to pass the time until the rain was gone, we went shopping. We hit up Best Buy, and the grocery store and Walmart, where I bought this “new” gum. Its good but its Juicy Fruit, so after a hot second you’ll be like “WHAAAT? Where’s the flavor?”
Then we went to Bed bath and Beyond. I knew what I was looking for. I’ve watched the infomercial for the Ninja Kitchen System 1100 quite a few times now, and I KNOW that I have to have it. It’s a pretty steep price for a blender, but if I stick with BBB, I can use a 20%-er and I have a gift card with about $40 left on it. SCORE!! I already have a regular Ninja blender that my Dad got me for christmas,(Love you Dad) and while it’s chopping and blending adequately, it only packs 450 watts, the new one has 1100! That thing is gonna CRUSH ice, literally!!
We’re on the fence for now, but wait and see, I’ll have it in no time.
The weather finally broke and the sun was a shinin’. We knew we had to get on those bikes. We had a great ride, about 9.5 miles, down to the grounds/golf course of the Botanical gardens. There was a wedding taking place, and I wanted to stick around to see the bride, I just love seeing brides. But I think they still had a little while before it started and we didn’t want to feel like bike riding creepers. But I’m glad the rain went away for her sake.
For dinner, we had another package of the Jack Daniels pulled pork from a previous post. I had mine on a multigrain roll with red onion and lettuce. We had some sliced cucumbers on the side. I drizzled mine with blue cheese. I debated whether to go with the blue cheese or fat free ranch. I actually went into an outloud tangent about how some people think that fat free things are so much better for you, but they’re usually loaded with sugar. Gotta get the flavor from somewhere, right? So, yes, the blue cheese was delicious.

I know you’re thinking, who is she to give advice, but stay far away from the Fat Free crap. Sugar, corn syrup and chemicals to make up the taste difference, and because blue cheese is more pungent, you’re using less anyway.
